Poem | you ten - me zero
I hope something awful
that you’ll allow me
the freedom
to manipulate you
as you have me.
I will always
let you win
every game
of chess.
Free will is everything
in the right circumstances
and as it transpires
you have given me
everything I need
in the confines of our
fleshless romance.
Therefore, I have
devised rules
for myself.
I will make sure that I tell you
every single one of
my insecurities,
because you’ll never
use them against me,
I know.
I promises
to believe you
and everything
you say.
I promises
to support you
and everything
you do.
You told me
you don’t do
expectations,
so I promise
to never expect
anything
from
you
Not clarity
Not explanation
No apology’s
Nothing.
And when you
shout, kick,
scream,
punche,
I’ll apologies
for my own
disregulation
My disorder.
My standards
My hopes
My self respect;
Just daydreams
You laugh at
how silly
I am.
I’ll be faithful
thankful,
grateful, and
protect you and
all of your secrets;
so pleased that
you should do
what you will with mine,
because your version
of events are true,
and my are false
always.
I will never
contradict,
criticises,
question,
metastasise
judgement.
Please I beg you
to correct
any of my
mistakes.
Because
you know more
than anyone;
whats best
for me.
You build me up,
with your silence.
I only improve when
I know your angry
I’m scare you’d
leave me alone
and now I can
be anything,
Incredible,
just for
you.
And for this
I’ll tell you
every day
how much
I adore you,
how lucky I am
just to have you.
How i’m nothing
without you, and how every day
with you is a blessing, and that you are my
entire world, you deserves the most praise
and I’ve become sexually attracted to my phone
because I associate it with you;
I’ll worship you, admire you,
and when you laugh at me,
I laugh harder…
Because every
game of chess,
I let her win…
…
