Poem | calm turbulence creates balance like no other

Always with that restless energy,

best ask for a take out cup.

I’m dizzy

from the sudden jolting

back into balance;

jittery patterns, perspectives,

passions I once knew, now long for

peace, tranquility, but not too much.

Heaven forbid I discover myself

A reasonable man.
